NOTE: Posting a credit is preferred. For refunding an invoice, refer the knowledge base article.
Posting a Credit:
Unlike a refund, a credit can be posted against a paid invoice the same day as the payment.
From customer's main subscription page, click "transactions".

Under "credit notes", click "add new".

Credits can be posted two ways:
1. A credit can be done against the paid invoice (drop down).

- Under "item details", you can select the SaaS product that will autopopulate the cost, or select "general credit" and enter a dollar amount.

Confirm the dollar amount, write any notes to the customer (invoice numbers, etc), select the email address to send confirmation to, and save as an open credit.

Credit can be applied to invoices, or left on the account to be automatically deducted for future invoices. Save the credit and attach as a note to the customer's CRM. Never refund a credit!
